Winter feeding programm for cats

Tourists worrying about cats survival…

Dear Mr, Mrs,

We have visited mykonos – Agios Stefanos – for 15 days. We left on the
15th of october 2008.
On the airport we took the newsletter of your animal welfare and gave
a donation. We are happy to read about all the good work you are doing
with the animals.
We also donate to two worldwide foundations which we shall contact to
help your foundation.

In these 15 days we visited the blue taverna on the beach of Agios
Stefanos – next to Antonias – a lot and saw the owners of the
restaurant take good care of the street cats.
But they also told us that in the winterseason – which begins now -
many people are leaving the island.
And our biggest concern is the many young cats of this place how can
they survive during this long winter period.
As you can see in the pictures we sent you above this cat realy stole
our heart. It is a very sweet cat but he is also very frightened of
his street life and seeks a person to adopt him. Believe me if we had
the possibility we would adopt him ourselfs, but with pain in our
heart this isn’t possible. He absolutely needs someone to look after
him. Is it possible for you to help this poor cats and in particular
the little red one.

Can you please contact us what you can do for us so that we can stop worrying.

Karin and Jack Hurxkens

  1. Yes. It is very sad to know that soooo many straycats in the winter are starving. But than again it is difficult to take care of them all.
    Greetings

  2. the M.A.W. winter feeding program is fully functional in the winter,so you should not worry that the cats do not have food to eat :) )
